Guy and girl go to the cinema together. Just the two of them. Guy admits to fancying girl yet protests they are going just as 'good friends'.

If he fancies the girl, and they go to the cinema and stuff together, he is so going to mve it to the next stage soon. He's probs just saying they are friends to hedge his bets, i.e if he gets rejected by said girl then he can easily come back with 'well we were just friends'.
